Last minute thoughts on the eve of the first day of school at CA. We've had a few questions regarding dress code and thought that we would make sure that everyone was squared away on what is and isn't kosher for the kiddos to be sporting come tomorrow. First off, you can find the official regulations regarding dress code here:
CA Dress Code Guidelines
If your child's school wardrobe is looking a little thin, or if you are bemused by the sheer amount of destruction that your lower school boy has wrought upon his khakis in a shockingly short amount of time, I would suggest a visit to the gently-used dress code closet. This is such an awesome resource and a PACA project that is designed to benefit every single family at our school.
Located down the science hallway, just a short jaunt from the nurse's office, the closet is open all the time (it literally has no door) and has dress code items, as well as other school spirit logo items for all ages and genders. If you need anything, help yourself. As you have clothes that have been outgrown, are clean and in good condition, we ask that you bring them by and drop them in the large trash can found in the closet.
As it happens, PACA is looking for a volunteer to help keep the closet tidy— so if you have a penchant for organization, we'd love to hear from you. This volunteer opportunity requires only a limited amount of time each month, particularly if it is maintained semi-regularly and it can be managed completely on your schedule.
If you are interested in giving back to our Viking community by helping with the closet, get in touch! You can fill out the electronic volunteer form or you can contact us through the blog!
